Mon County GOP opens Seneca Center hub, Democrats deploy strategically

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Four weeks away from the election, Monongalia County Republicans have opened the “Victory Center” in Suite 30 of the Seneca Center on Beechurst Drive in Morgantown. Monongalia County Republican party Chairman Ethan Moore said they plan to staff the location on an as needed basis for candidates and area voters.

“It is a central place in the county where all Republicans can gather to get resources, signs and information,” Moore said. “We’ll have people there at different times on different days to answer questions.”

Moore said typically the central location would have been up and running, but this year has presented unique circumstances.

“We believe we’re right on schedule for the heat of the activity,” Moore said. “The people who need to get their resources will be able to and our citizens will be able to reach to that central location for information.”

Monongalia County Democrats are also busy mobilizing their message. Monongalia County Democrat party Chairman Shae Assadzandi released the following statement to WAJR News:

“Victory is more than a sign on a building. We’re deploying our resources and our volunteers in strategic ways to support our excellent slate of candidates, and we look forward to seeing the results on election night.”
