MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Mon Health broke ground Tuesday on a new 2-story, 15,780 square foot facility located off Chaplin Road.
The new facility will house physician clinics and an emergency medical services substation.
The building is set to open this summer. Mon Health Wedgewood Primary Care Westover will move into the second floor of the building. Dr. Alan Hess, a Mon Health Internal Medicine physician, will move to the first floor.
A 2-bay garage for Mon Health EMS will be attached to the new building to provide easier access to the western and northwestern parts of Monongalia County and I-79.
Mon Health EMS responded to more than 16,000 calls in 2017.
