OSAGE, W.Va. – The West Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office continues to investigate the fatal fire Thursday morning on Tunnel Street in Osage.
The Granville, Westover, Star City, and Cassville Fire Departments were all dispatched. The lead department was the Granville Fire Department and Chief Butch Renner.
“We were dispatched at 4 in the morning to Tunnel Street in Osage, Renner said. “Our first unit got on scene at 4:05 a.m. and found a fully involved structure.”
Renner said a neighbor noticed smoke and made the 911 call.
The group of firefighters had the fire under control in 41 minutes and cleared the scene by 10 a.m.
No names have been released. No firefighters were injured during the response.
