Morgantown charged with first degree robbery

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department says Christopher Martin, 38, is accused robbing a resident of the Unity Terrace Apartments at gun point.

The victim told police Martin kicked his back door in and tied his hands together, took the victim’s pistol then held him at gunpoint and demanded. The victim said he told Martin that he had money in his car, and they went outside while Martin made threats to kill him if he didn’t get him cash.

While outside the victim was able to flee.

The victim later identified martin to police and he was arrested.

Martin has been charged with first degree robbery and is being held at the North Central Regional Jail.
