Morgantown disposing of old Christmas Trees

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Morgantown Public Works Department is again disposing of old Christmas trees.

City residents can schedule a pickup time through January 12, 2023 by calling the City Garage at 304-291-7465. Pickups will be scheduled on a ward-by-ward basis. Residents can also drop off trees at the City Garage at their convenience. Trees must be dropped by the sign in the gravel lot outside the fence.

All decorations and lights must be removed.

The trees are being donated to the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources to enhance fish habitat in Cheat Lake, Tygart Lake, and Jackson’s Mill.
