MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A Monongalia County man is charged after setting a mattress on fire in downtown Morgantown last week.
Jeremiah Alexander Westfall, 25, of Morgantown faces a malicious burning charge after lighting the mattress on fire in the intersection of Prospect and North Spruce Street.
The fire started around 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 10.
Westfall is free on bond. It’s the third arrest within the last month for fires set in the North Spruce Street area.
