Morgantown man charged with robbery after downtown disturbance

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. A Morgantown man is facing robbery charges after helping himself to the food preparation line at the Subway location on High Street Tuesday.

Morgantown police said David Clark, 48, went behind the counter and began to help himself when employees ordered him to stop and leave. Clark raised his fist in a threatening manner and began to make threats, causing the staff to flee the facility.

Police arrived to find Clark on the sidewalk outside the restaurant with a mouthful of food growling at citizens walking by.

Clark is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
