MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — One man is dead and another person was injured in a downtown Morgantown shooting.
Officers were called to the 200 block of High Street shortly after 9:00 p.m. for shots fired.
A Morgantown Fire Marshall observed a disturbance and was approaching the parties involved at the time of the shooting. The suspect was reported to have fled the area in a green Pontiac.
A man was murdered near an alley that runs between High Street and Spruce Street near the former magistrate court.
A second shooting victim was located on Brockway Avenue and transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police have the vehicle of suspect in possession.
Detectives were interviewing dozens of witnesses.
