Morgantown shooting suspect extradited to NCRJ

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The suspect in a Water Street shooting in Morgantown in September has been extradited back to the area and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.

Harry Tucker, 32, is accused of shooting an unidentified victim in hand and back in the 1900 block of Water Street, then fled the scene. Witnesses alerted police to belongings Tucker threw into the dumpster that yielded clothes traced back to the suspect and his fingerprint left on a condom package. Reports indicate the car he was driving was also registered in his name.

Tucker has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, wanton endangerment involving a firearm, robbery, and assault during the commission of a felony. He is being held in lieu of a $160,000 bond.

The victim was transported by Mon EMS and treated at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Tucker was arrested in Fairfax, Virginia.
