MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Police in Morgantown are investigating a shooting reported in the 1900 block of Water Street on Wednesday.
Police responded to 1993 Water Street at 7:25 p.m. and found the victim with gunshot wounds to the hand and back.
Witnesses described the shooter as a black male with dreadlocks wearing a gray hoodie who was running toward downtown after the shooting. Later, witnesses said they saw the suspect leaving the area in what appeared to be a black Volkswagen Jetta.
Police are also looking for a second suspect, described as a light-skinned black male wearing an orange T-shirt.
The victim was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. No medical information has been released.
