Moundsville man accused of sexual assault

william-stanleyFAIRMONT, W.Va. — Felony charges have been filed against a Moundsville man, accused of holding another man against his will and sexually assaulting him.

William Michael Stanley, 52, of Moundsville is being held on $500,000 bond for the incident that took place on Oct. 15 in White Hall.

The criminal complaint states that Stanley was staying at the Red Roof Inn in White Hall with another man when he locked the door, stood in front of it and refused to let the male victim leave. Stanley allegedly proceeded to physically and sexually assault the victim.

Eventually, the man managed to flee the room and shout for help, running to the front office of the motel.

Stanley is a registered sex offender. He’s being held at North Central Regional Jail.
