NC man convicted a second time in WV for not updating sex offender registry

CLARKSBURG, W.Va — A convicted North Carolina sex offender has been sentenced for crimes in West Virginia.

Bruce Alfonso Robinson, II, 32 of Greensboro, was convicted of solicitation to commit second degree rape in North Carolina in 2004.  The conviction required Robinson to register as a sex offender.

He didn’t update his address upon moving to Marion County and was convicted of failure to register as a sex offender there in 2011.

Monday, Robinson was sentenced to 2 years in prison for failing to update the sex offender registry when he relocated back to North Carolina.

Robinson entered a guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley in Clarksburg.
