MASONTOWN, W.Va. — A new faith-based alternative school in Masontown is accepting K–12 registrations for the fall of 2024.
The free Hope Scholarship-funded school is operated from the Preston County Youth Center, has room for 160 K–12 students and 100 students in grades 7–12, and will offer free lunches to students.
Principal Glenn Larew said the school will offer a traditional education tailored to the needs of students. The staff can also help parents, including homeschoolers, successfully apply for the Hope Scholarship.
The school has several certified teachers, with plans to hire additional instructors as enrollment increases.
An open house has been scheduled for April 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 87 VIP Drive in Masontown.
