FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Firefighters in Fairmont quickly extinguished a blaze on Virginia Avenue late Sunday afternoon.
The first crew was dispatched to the 1000 block of Virginia Ave. at 5:04 p.m. Two other crews were summoned to the scene when heavy smoke and fire were reported on the second floor.
The fire was reportedly under control by 5:31 p.m.
Two residents were at home at the time of the blaze, but no injuries were reported.
The cause remains under investigation.
