One arrested in Chaplin Road drug investigation

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –  Deputies from the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department made one arrest after discovering two people passed out in a vehicle at a Sheetz on Chaplin Road on Thursday.

When deputies arrived, they had to knock on the window of the vehicle to wake up Christopher Wolfe, 32, of Point Marion, Pennsylvania, and a female passenger.

After waking the pair up, deputies said they observed two glass smoking devices in plain view with residue in them.

After getting the two subjects out of the vehicle, Wolfe attempted to flee but was quickly captured.

When a police K-9 officer gave a positive indication of narcotics in the vehicle, a backpack with large quantities of prescription pills, marijuana, presumed fentanyl, sets of scales, packaging material, and cocaine was found.

Wolfe has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $45,000 bond.
