One charged in Morgantown Powersports bike theft

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Extradition to West Virginia is pending for a Pennsylvania man accused in a Morgantown burglary.

Maurice Wilson, 44 of Pittsburgh, will face grand larceny and conspiracy charges after being taken into custody by U.S. Marshals Wednesday, May 25.

Morgantown police identified Wilson as a suspect who stole a motorcycle from Morgantown Powersports April 11.

The Mountain State Fugitive Task force assisted in locating the suspect.

Two days after Wilson’s arrest, Penn Hills Police discovered the stolen bike during a traffic stop. The operator is not believed to have been a part of the initial robbery.

Surveillance video from the 2:45 am burglary indicated multiple suspects.

The investigation continues.
