One Clarksburg robbery suspect captured in New York

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – One suspect in the robbery of the Verizon store in Clarksburg on Emily Drive has been arrested in New York.

On April 5, police allege that Tushawn Glenn went into the store and began to take merchandise. When an employee confronted Glenn, he assaulted the worker and fled in a dark gray SUV.

Detectives used surveillance footage to trace the rental vehicle to an Enterprise Rental location in Little Rock, Arkansas. Police then learned the car was rented by a woman from California.

After contacting authorities in California, detectives learned Glenn had ties to the woman who rented the car. Police also learned Glenn has multiple birth dates and social security numbers, making it difficult to determine his age, but authorities said he had an active robbery warrant out of California.

On Monday, April 10, Glenn was arrested in New York while returning the rental car.

Glenn will be extradited to California before facing robbery, conspiracy, and grand larceny charges in Clarksburg.

The female suspect is still being sought by police.
