MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — One person is dead and another seriously injured following a single vehicle accident near the I-68/I-79 interchange.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department is on scene and controlling traffic. According to WV 511, the southbound ramp onto I-79 is closed. Two of three lanes are currently closed on I-68 westbound.
According to scanner traffic, at least one person was ejected from the vehicle.
A cause of the accident has yet to be determined, according to Chief Deputy Al Kisner.
