PHILIPPI, W.Va. One arrest has been made in a fatal stabbing reported in Philippi on Wednesday.
Members of the Philippi Police Department responded at 10:06 a.m. Wednesday to the Dayton Park area and found a deceased female at the scene.
Police identified the suspect as Brian Kennedy, who was arrested at the scene and will be charged with first-degree murder.
The Barbour County Sheriff’s Office and West Virginia State Police assisted in the investigation.
