MORGANTOWN, W.Va. One person has been reported killed, and another was transported from a Sunday afternoon crash scene on I-79 northbound.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash reported at 2:11 p.m. at mile marker 150, according to MECCA 911.
As a result of the investigation, I-79 northbound was closed until about 5:30 p.m., and congestion delays were reported in both directions throughout the afternoon.
West Virginia State Police, Westover Fire Department, and Mon EMS assigned deputies
The investigation is continuing.
