One man charged with malicious assault; two others facing DUI-related charges in busy weekend

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Three people are facing charges for separate incidents after a busy weekend for Morgantown police.

A stabbing reported around 2 a.m. Saturday morning resulted in the arrest of Jason Grim, 41, of Carmichaels, Pennsylvania.

Grim is facing one malicious wounding charge after police claimed he used a glass coffee pot to injure a woman at a High Street residence.

The woman reportedly was covered in blood with visible contusions to her eye and a broken nose. Additionally, officers reported blood stains throughout the room.

Elsewhere, a fugitive was picked up just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning by police. A traffic stop on Grafton Road resulted in the arrest of Gary Sheuvront, 45, of Morgantown.

Sheuvront is wanted as a fugitive in Jefferson Parrish, Louisiana. He is also facing a DUI charge.

Around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning, officers observed a Ford Focus traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Beechurst Avenue near Campus Drive dragging part of the front bumper.

Officers attempted to remove the driver from the vehicle, but said he struggled with police when they attempted to extricate him.

Josha Fisher, 34, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, was reportedly armed with a semi-automatic handgun. Police said the damage to his vehicle at the time of arrest was consistent with a significant collision, but could not match the damage with any reported crash in the area.

Fisher was treated for injuries at Ruby Memorial Hospital for injuries likely sustained during a motor vehicle crash. Police charged him with fleeing in a vehicle from an officer while under the influence.
