PRESTON COUNTY, W.Va. – One person was killed and another injured in a rollover crash in Bull Run Saturday night.
According to the Masontown Volunteer Fire Department, around 6:30 p.m, a man and woman traveled about 200 feet over the embankment in Bull Run near Cheat Canyon. Both the man and the woman were ejected from the vehicle during the rollover.
The woman was rescued by emergency services using a high-angle rescue, then then on a medical ATV to be evacuated by a HealthNet air transport. The man was then declared dead on arrival at Preston Memorial Hospital.
The rescue operation took approximately 4 and a half hours.
Reedsville VFD, Bruceton Brandonville VFD, KAMP Ambulance, Preston County Sheriff’s Department, Mon EMS, WVDNR and WVSP all responded to the scene.
