Pennsylvania man living in Morgantown sentenced for failing to update sex offender registration

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. –  A Waynesburg man has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for failing to update his sex offender registration.

Police were called to a Morgantown apartment complex where a resident believed Larry Collins Bryan, 65, inappropriately touched her child.

Bryan was convicted of statutory rape in 1992 in Greene County, Pennsylvania, and had been living in Morgantown for more than a year without updating his sex offender registration.

Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh also found that Bryan did commit third-degree sexual abuse against the child after reviewing surveillance video evidence.

Bryan has been ordered to serve five years of supervised release after his prison sentence.
