FAIRMONT, W.Va. Two are facing charges after a traffic stop and a drug investigation.
On Sunday, police observed a suspect vehicle leave Rhea Terrace, an area known for drug activity, and cross the centerline several times while braking erratically.
Police then stopped the vehicle on the Fairmont Gateway Connector and made contact with the driver, Brian Shackleford, 22, of Bridgeport, who told police he had drugs in the vehicle. Police then recovered 4.13 ounces of marijuana, 0.87 grams of cocaine, a Glock 19 handgun, and $180 in cash.
Shackleford told the police he had come from a residence on Rhea Terrace, so a search of that location was conducted.
At the Rhea Terrace location, police made contact with Aaron Harris, 20, of Fairmont, and conducted a search.
In the Rhea Terrace residence, police recovered 11.5 ounces of marijuana, an Amadeo Rossi.38 special revolver, and $861 in cash.
During the investigation, police determined Harris had large amounts of marijuana delivered to his residence and sold a portion of that delivery to Shackleford hours before.
Both have been charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and are being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
