Power outage leads to discolored water for some Morgantown MUB customers

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. The power outage resulted in discolored water for some Morgantown Utility Board (MUB) customers on Friday.

Director of Communications Chris Dale said the outage occurred around 9:50 p.m. and caused a short delay before the generator took over operations causing discoloration. Customers in South Park, Greenmont, and First Ward had discolored water for a short period of time after.

When power was restored around 1:30 a.m., the process repeated itself, causing a short period of discolored water for the same customers again.

Dale said customers with discolored water this morning are asked to run the cold water for 15 minutes and repeat if necessary.
