Preston County man accused of abduction and assault in PA won’t waive extradition

KINGWOOD, W.Va. — The man accused of a November abduction in Preston County won’t be back in court until March.

Virgil Lee Hall, 44, of Bruceton Mills, did not waive extradition in his case surrounding the abduction and assault of a Preston County woman that occurred in Fayette County, Pennsylvania.

Hall is charged in West Virginia with kidnapping, attempted murder, malicious wounding, and strangulation. In Pennsylvania, he is charged with strangulation, making terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, unlawful restraint causing serious bodily injury, simple assault, harassment, and trespassing.

The incident in question stems from Nov. 18, 2017. Hall turned himself in to local authorities Dec. 4, 2017.

The continued hearing has been rescheduled for March 2. He’s being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
