MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. – A Preston County man has been charged with sexual misconduct with a minor.
Westover police received a tip in January 2023 and began the investigation.
During a forensic interview at the Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center, the 8-year-old girl told investigators that Cody Frye, 28, of Masontown, sexually abused her at a home in Westover.
Frye has been charged with sexual abuse and is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
