Remains Found in Pennsylvania Identified as Missing Fairmont Man

WAYNESBURG, PA. — The Pennsylvania State Medical Examiner’s Office has officially confirmed the remains of a man found behind a Chevy dealership in August belonged to John Raikes, 57, of Fairmont.

Raikes was first reported missing on June 20.

Police discovered the remains behind Bortz Chevrolet in Franklin Township on August 27.

Deputies said there was no indication of foul play, but the incident remains under investigation.
