REPORT: Mylan workers called to meet again, but no new layoffs announced

MORGANTOWN — Mylan workers were called to a mandatory town hall meeting Monday morning at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place.

Scott Marshall, senior vice president for Global Manufacturing, sent out a notice that was posted on the pages of the Mylan labor union, United Steelworkers Local 8-957.

Marshall said the meeting would include President Rajiv Malik and other leaders. They would provide an update on the recent changes at the plant and how the company is moving forward. “To dispel any rumors, we are not announcing further workforce reductions at this meeting.”

Other union posts show that the recall process is under way, and Marshall said the meeting would also include an update on the voluntary separation program and employee recall, next steps and keys to company success, and a question-and-answer period.
