Reward offered in multi-county copper thefts

RITCHIE COUNTY, W.Va. — Antero Resources is offering a $3,500 reward for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the theft of copper from their facilities.

The thefts have been reported in Ritchie, Doddridge and Tyler counties.

Official said about 200-feet of copper were taken from five locations in Ritchie County on Mountain Drive and Gnat’s Run in Pennsboro.

Any information about the thefts can be forwarded to the appropriate sheriff’s department.

Copper currently has a salvage value of about $3 per pound.
