Routine traffic stop leads to drug arrest in Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – A routine traffic stop Friday in Clarksburg resulted in one arrest and the seizure of a small amount of fentanyl and other drugs.

On Friday, police stopped Raven Shaw, 27, for an expired registration and a seatbelt violation on Route 50. A free air sniff performed by a police canine gave a positive indication of drugs at the scene.

In the vehicle, police found two plastic bags containing 3.6 grams of fentanyl, a smaller bag with.66 grams of fentanyl, about one gram of suspected methamphetamine, a small amount of prescription drugs, and two cell phones.

Shaw has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

She is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
