UPDATED: Law enforcement officials can’t confirm Arizona sighting of suspect in Marion County Amber Alert case

MARION COUNTY, W.Va. – The Arizona Department of public Safety is investigating a reported sighting Tuesday, July 30 of Arlie Hetrick, father a missing four-year-old Gracelynn Scritchfield, in Williams, Arizona.

Now, police say that sighting may have coincided with a segment seen on national TV.

West Virginia State Police Director of Public Relations Captain Shallon Ogelsby said, “News media recieved information stating that Gracelynn Scritchfield was seen in the Williams, Arizona area. This was only tip that came in due to Live PD airing, it is not confirmed that either Arlie Hetrick III or Gracelynn Scritchfield were seen or located.”

The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed to WAJR News that both sightings have not been confirmed by any law enforcement agency.

Hetrick picked Gracelynn up on July 6 from her mother, she has been missing since.

Gracelynn Scritchfield is described as a four-year-old white female, 3-feet tall, 35 pounds, brownish-blonde hair, blue eyes and wearing summer clothes. Hetrick,26, is described as a white male, 5-feet 9-inches, 140 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. They are believed to be in a 2001 gold Subaru with West Virginia license number 1TH163.

West Virginia State Police believe the girl is in extreme danger.
