MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Police have identified the knife wielding suspect near campus Wednesday as Zavier Reid, 20, of West Palm Beach. Florida.
Wednesday night, university officials issued an alert when a report of a shirtless black male wearing khaki pants was waving a knife at people.
Police allege Reid brandished a knife on Belmar Avenue Wednesday night just before 9. Reid is not a WVU student.
According to police, Reid will be charged with brandishing a deadly weapon and destruction of property.
