Teen dead; Fairmont police investigate

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Fairmont police are investigating the death of a teenager from over the weekend.

According to Fairmont Police Chief Steve Shine, a 16-year-old male was discovered dead late Sunday into early Monday  on Cleveland Avenue.

The victim’s name is not being released until the investigation progresses.

Detectives continue to question potential witnesses “hoping for more cooperation,” the chief wrote.

Evidence is also being reviewed.
