Ten snared in Upshur County ‘lengthy drug investigation’

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – Ten have been jailed following what detectives in Upshur County are calling a “lengthy investigation into narcotics distribution.”

A total of 16 search warrants were served, and a small amount of narcotics was confiscated.

Arrested in the operation were Emily Nolan, Danny Tenney Jr., Kevin Cline, Corey Bender, David Payne, Brain Shaw, James Breedon, Thad Marsh, Allen Wolford, and Greg Tenney.

Tenney was arrested on April 20 during a routine traffic stop while transporting 22 grams of methamphetamine from Randolph County to Upshur County. During that stop, Tenney told police he had purchased the methamphetamine in Randolph County for $500 and was bringing it to his friend in Upshur County to sell.
