Three arrests made in rolling Morgantown shootout

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. A domestic dispute in Morgantown resulted in a shooting in at least two locations in Morgantown over the weekend.

The incident started Saturday just before 6 p.m. outside of the city at T&S Rentals in the 1400 block of Van Voorhis Road.

Two parties involved fled the area in separate vehicles, and unconfirmed reports indicate the parties exchanged gunfire twice while driving in the Sabraton area.

Both vehicles drove from Van Voorhis Road to Cowrgirlz Lounge in the 33 block of Earl L. Core Road, where another exchange of gunfire was reported.

Mike Scott, 43, has been charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance. Phineas Chaplin, 38, has been charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance. Rachelle Gaston, 39, has been charged with one count of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance. All three suspects are from Morgantown.

Additional charges are pending.

No one was injured in the incident.

Morgantown police were assisted by the West Virginia State Police, the Mon Metro Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department.
