Three charged after Marion County fraud investigation

MARION COUNTY, W.Va. – The Marion County residents are facing charges after police allege they worked together to defraud a resident out of more than $17,000.

The investigation began Monday when a report of several fradulent charges on a bank statement was reported.

Police then learned of 142 fraudulent charges totalling $17,938.58 and got the name of a suspect- Cyleigh Brock.

Detectives tied 28 transactions back to a cash app Brock owned, 11 other payments to a paypal account owned by Alyssa Jones and two thers tied a cash app owned by Scott Strait.

The debit card of the vicyim was also found in the home where Brock, Jones, and Strait were found.

All face fraud charges and are being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
