Three teens accused in Morgantown armed robbery

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Three juveniles are in custody accused in a Morgantown armed robbery and multiple other charges.

Morgantown police responded to a brandishing call Monday where they found 3 teenagers, 2 armed with air pistols, matching the description from the complaint at Kingwood Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

The three juveniles, ages 17, 15 and 13 are facing controlled substance violations after police found marijuana in the initial investigation and arrest.

Upon further investigation, Morgantown police identified the teens as suspects in a violent armed robbery from December 15.

The suspects in that incident robbed a victim at gunpoint on Forest Avenue at approximately 10:30 p.m. The victim was hit in the back of the head with a blunt object, kicked and beaten during the robbery.

The thieves made off with $80.00 and a calculator.

All three were confined in secure custody at a juvenile detention center pending court. They face armed robbery, brandishing and controlled substance charges.
