Two arrested following routine traffic stop in Stonewood

STONEWOOD, W.Va. – Two are facing drug charges following a routine traffic stop in Stonewood by police there.

Stonewood police stopped a truck driven by Derrick Harbert, 32, of Nutter Fort, pulling a trailer with an expired registration and no working license plate light.

During the stop, a K-9 officer gave a positive indication of narcotics in the vehicle.

During a search of the truck, police found a black bag containing 109.69 grams of methamphetamine. Harbert had fentanyl in his possession, and passenger Cheyenne Ayoob, 31, of Nutter Fort, had marijuana in her possession.

Both have been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and are being held in the North Central Regional Jail.
