Two arrested on drug charges after traffic stop in Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Two individuals were arrested Thursday night in Harrison County after heroin was found in their vehicle during an undercover operation and traffic stop.

John Charles Wade, 27, of Salem –but formerly of McKeesport, Pennsylvania– and Price Javon Patterson, 28, of McKeesport, were allegedly found with two buns of heroin valued at $400 on the street and $6,841 in currency by the Harrison County Street Crimes and Drug unit, according to Sheriff Albert Marano’s office.

Officers began investigating the two when they allegedly sold heroin to an undercover officer with the SCAD unit and then initiated the traffic stop when the two began traveling the wrong way on West Main Street in Clarksburg.

An Anmoore K-9 unit assisted in the execution of the search warrant.

The two men are being held at North Central Regional Jail with bail $200,000 on charges of conspiracy to deliver heroin and delivery of heroin.

Prior to Thursday’s arrest, Wade and Patterson were wanted out of Pennsylvania for drug charges, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
