Two arrested, substantial quantity of drugs, stolen property recovered during Preston County raid

KINGWOOD, W.Va. – West Virginia State Police and members of the Preston County Sheriff’s Department made two arrests, confiscated drugs, money, stolen property and weapons in Independence.

Police said William Kenneth Moss, 33, of Grafton, and Corrina Dawn Thornton, of Thorton cooperated during the search of the property.

Police recovered more than three pounds of methamphetamine, several pills, 30 grams of marijuana, 4.6 grams of fentanyl, 97 subutex pills, a stolen red motorcycle, stolen license plate, a large amount of cash, weapons and ammunition.

Moss has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute, transferring and receiving stolen property, felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of conspiracy.

Anderson has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver and two counts of conspiracy.
