Two men sentenced in Monongalia County drug case

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – United States Attorney Bill Powell has announced for two men have been sentenced for their role in a Monongalia County drug distribution ring.

Daron Buford, 28, of Detroit, Michigan, and Brian Kyle, 40, of Maidsville, were accused of distributing heroin, cocaine, and oxycodone during 2017 and 2018 in the Monongalia County area.

Buford has been sentenced to 18 months for aiding and abetting distribution of heroin in July of 2017 and Kyle has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for using the telephone to distribute drugs in April of 2018.

Both men were apprehended during a September 2018 drug sting, 15 other suspects were rounded up during that operation.
