Two out-of-state subjects sentenced to federal prison for selling dangerous drugs in Morgantown

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – Two out-of-state residents have been sentenced to lengthy terms in for selling dangerous drugs in Morgantown.

William Trice, 32, of Eastpointe, Michigan, has bee ordered to serve five years in federal prison for distribution of fentanyl. According to court documents and testimony, Trice was the leader of a Detroit-area drug trafficking organization that was selling heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine in Morgantown.

Dayshawn Burton, 28, of Hamilton, Ohio, has been ordered to serve 57 months in federal prison for aiding and abetting the distribution of methamphetamine. According to court documents and testimony, Burton worked for Trice as a distributor and sold methamphetamine to an informant.
