CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – Police in Clarksburg are searching for a man and woman in connection with the robbery of the Verizon store on Emily Drive Wednesday morning.
Reports indicate a black male wearing a blue hoodie entered the store around 10:30 a.m., took several items, and fled for the door. The suspect assaulted a store employee, who tried to prevent his escape.
Police said the man fled with a light-skinned woman in a dark gray SUV on Emily Drive, then west on Route 50.
The employee did not need medical attention.
