MORGANTOWN, W.Va. A Morgantown man has been arrested after a child victim of sexual assault disclosed years of abuse to police.
Investigators from the Westover Police Department said the victim revealed multiple instances of misconduct between 2018 and 2021 by Edward Briese, 41, that included documented proof of physical injury as a result.
Investigators said as a result of the acts, the victim now suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Briese has been charged with sexual abuse and is being held in the North Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
