Woman charged after police raid underage party

ELKINS, W.Va. – An Elkins woman is facing charges after she allegedly was part of a party with juveniles that included alcohol and marijuana.

Saturday, officers from the Elkins Police Department responded to a home on Bruce Street at 9 p.m. after receiving information that the party was in progress on social media.

Police said Sarah Lehmen, 47, answered the door, and they could smell marijuana inside.

Inside, police found three juveniles who appeared to be under the influence. All three had measurable alcohol in their systems.

During a search of the home, police found a jar of marijuana, baggies, and paraphernalia in a coffee table drawer. Police also found multiple pills in different bags, $4,443 in cash, grow lights, and marijuana plants in baggies in the crawlspace.

Two of the juveniles were released to their parents. One juvenile, Lehman’s daughter, was released to another adult, according to police.

Lehman has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

She is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
