WVU helps statewide educators ‘STEAM up’

ROANOKE, W.Va. About 200 primary school educators for all over the state will sharpen their skills Monday in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) learning.

The “STEAMPOSIUM” includes standards-based, personalized grade-level exercises to enhance critical thinking skills. The event also creates opportunities to network and share notes.

The West Virginia Public Education Collaborative, the West Virginia Department of Education, the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) Technical Assistance Center at West Virginia University, and the June Harless Center at Marshall University are hosting the event at the Stonewall Resort from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
