WVU student in custody for making terroristic threats

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A WVU student is facing charges for making terroristic threats.

Cheickna Kagnassy, 21, of Columbia, Maryland, is accused of making threats to “carry out a shooting spree” and then commit suicide.

Kagnassy, a freshmen pre-business major, is in custody. Investigators did not find any weapons at his Vandalia Hall residence Wednesday evening.

A concerned citizen tipped police. Kagnassy’s bond is set at $75,000.
