MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The “Gold and Blue Dude” died unexpectedly from medical complications, according to social media reports.
Born in Charleston, Chris Petry, 40, posted daily videos featuring WVU college sports, general college football and basketball topics and had nearly 14,000 subscribers.
Petry suffered with Crohn’s Disease and Ankylosing Spondylitis- an inflammatory ailment that can cause some vertebrae in the spine to fuse. Petry became septic this week and didn’t catch it in time. He died of a cardiac arrest.
