Christian Help Consignment Sale Ends Saturday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Discount shoppers will have one final chance to shop at Christian Help’s Fall Children Consignment Sale Saturday.

The West Virginia National Guard Morgantown Readiness Center is hosting Christian Help for a third day, Saturday September 23, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Morgantown.

“We have over 150 consigners,” Erica, Christian Help’s Marketing Director said Friday. “The consigners bring all of there own stuff. They bring it priced and bagged and ready to go.”

The vast majority of proceeds go back to Christian Help, Inc., a local non-profit in downtown Morgantown that offers a free clothing store for anyone to visit once a day, a Women’s Career Closet and Men’s Career Closet for job-seekers, a food pantry for emergency food orders, and their Jobs for Life Program.

“Seventy to ninety percent of all the proceeds go back to the consigners,” she said. “So everything else comes to Christian Help and that funds the five programs we run at Christian Help.”

If you miss the sale, you can also check out the Free Store during regular business hours upon conclusion of the Consignment Sale.

“At the end of the sale, consigners don’t want to pack all their own stuff up and take it home?” she said. “They can donate it back to us and we’ll put it all out for the community.”
